These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which PattaChitta provides its guides, calculators and other content. By using them you accept these conditions.
What we provide
PattaChitta is an independent information website. We cover Tamil Nadu land records and property registration services, and some related Bihar services, and we link to the official portals. We do not accept applications, collect fees, issue certificates or process payments. Those happen only on government websites.
Free access, and no requests for money
This website is free to use. We will never ask you for a payment, password, OTP or document in order to give you a guide. If anyone claiming to be us asks for these, do not respond.
Advertising
This website carries advertisements served by third-party networks such as Google. We do not endorse advertisers or their products and are not responsible for what they offer. Government services never need payment to a private website, so be careful with any ad that asks for money, a password or an OTP to obtain a certificate.
Information only, not advice
Our content is general information. It is not legal, financial, tax or valuation advice and does not create any lawyer-client or advisor-client relationship. For a purchase, sale, loan, dispute or transfer, check the original documents and consult a qualified lawyer or the concerned government office.
Accuracy and changes in rules
Fees, rates, forms, portal screens and procedures are set by the government and change often. We work to keep guides accurate and show the date they were last updated, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is current. Always confirm on the official portal before you pay or submit anything.
Calculators
Results from our calculators are estimates based on the rules and rates described on the page. They are not an official valuation, duty or fee, and the figure shown on the government portal prevails.
Third-party websites and apps
We link to government portals, app-store listings and other third-party resources for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or terms. Check the publisher of any app before installing it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PattaChitta and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website, including loss caused by outdated information, a calculator estimate, an unavailable link or a decision you make based on our content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
